How About a Chromebook?

What do you use your computer for? Surfing the internet? Reading email? Creating/reading documents? Looking at pictures from your phone? You might be a good candidate for a Chromebook.
The Chromebook is a computer that uses the internet to work. It does have an offline mode, but by and large it depends on a reliable connection to the web. Its advantages? It’s drop-dead reliable. It’s impervious to viruses and Trojans. It gets updated quietly and automatically. It’s simple, it just works.
Its downside? It’s not a full computer. It prints via the web, which means you either need a web-connected printer (they’re out there, but you have to look for them), or else have a standard computer in the house where you can share a printer via Chrome to the web.
